How many factories can you visit in one day around Bangkok?
Usually two to three. Factories around Bangkok are spread across different industrial areas, and the drive between two of them can take an hour or more in traffic. Each visit also takes one to two hours if you want useful answers.
Why not more?
Manufacturers around Bangkok are not in one place. They are spread across areas such as Samut Prakan to the south-east, Samut Sakhon to the south-west, and provinces further north. Crossing Bangkok between them can take an hour or more, and much longer at rush hour.
How long does one visit take?
Plan one to two hours. A useful visit includes a walk through production, a look at samples and materials, and a conversation about MOQ, lead time, samples and export terms. Rushing it means you leave with questions you could have asked in person.
What does a realistic day look like?
- Morning: first factory, starting around 9:30 or 10:00
- Late morning: travel to the second site
- Afternoon: second factory, around 13:30 or 14:00
- Late afternoon: a third visit only if it is close by
How do you plan the route?
Group factories by area, put the furthest one first if traffic allows, and leave a buffer between visits. Check drive times on a map app for the actual addresses at the actual time of day, not the distance on the map.
What if a factory cancels?
It happens. Keep one or two back-up factories in the same area so the day is not wasted.
How can SiamPartner help?
SiamPartner plans visit days around confirmed appointments and real travel times, not a wish list. Our team books the visits in Thai, arranges the route and transport, and tells you honestly how many factories fit into each day.
Common questions
Can I see more factories if I start early?
A little. Most factories work office hours, so the day is limited by their opening times as well as by traffic.
Is it better to group factories by area?
Yes. Visiting factories in the same area on the same day saves the most time.
